London, UK, Barcelona, Spain - May 8, 2025 - Finboot, a leader in green supply chain solutions, launched today its AI strategy and technology innovations to its award-winning MARCO Track & Trace Platform.

As supply chains face rising pressure to become more digital, resilient, and sustainable, technologies such as Blockchain, IoT, and AI are becoming indispensable and inseparable. AI is rapidly transforming supply chain management by enhancing efficiency, accuracy, and decision-making—and in sustainability tracking, AI adoption already exceeds 60%, according to a recent EY study

AI is already being applied to demand planning, procurement, and process optimization, using generative AI (GenAI), popularized by tools like ChatGPT. About 40% of supply chain organizations are already exploring GenAI for things like knowledge management, and its potential continues to grow. Beyond this, 21% of manufacturers are already using AI to predict and prevent supply chain disruptions, with 60% planning to deploy it in the next 12–24 months. Looking ahead, Gartner projects that by 2028, autonomous agentic AI will make at least 15% of daily decisions, a significant increase from 0% in 2024.

Finboot has been at the forefront of using technology to help companies understand, monitor, and build green supply chains. The MARCO Track & Trace platform, launched in 2018, provides digital traceability. Customers of MARCO, such as Repsol, Sabic, and Gestamp, already use MARCO to track complex supply chains for sustainable fuels and steel and help our customers reduce carbon emissions. It’s also why Finboot is ranked 14th out of 200 in G2’s sustainability management category, right next to giants like Microsoft and Workiva.

To stay ahead, Finboot is integrating the power of GenAI into MARCO Track & Trace, which will deliver even more value and efficiency for enterprise customers. MARCO’s AI innovations include:

GenAI for Digital Product Passports “DPP”

Digital Product Passport “DPP” mapping. Using MARCO’s AI tool, any customer can map their supply chain in a few easy steps, creating a visual representation of the end-to-end process.

“Simplifying the creation of a DPP was a strong customer request, and we are delighted to launch this function addressing a real need.” said Álvaro Llobet, Head of Product at Finboot. “But until now, it required too much time for limited value. Thanks to MARCO Track & Trace and GenAI, a process that would have taken weeks to months can now take a few hours.”

Furthermore, the tool brings a powerful, user-friendly graphical representation of the supply chain, replacing a data-heavy picture. This allows customers to easily see all steps in their supply chain and deep dive into individual components through each step of production.

MARCO Track & Trace plus AI Copilot

Finboot has also embedded AI directly into its award-winning application, MARCO Track & Trace. MARCO-AI Copilot enables our customers to configure their product supply chains by describing them in any natural language – No Coding required. Picture this: You describe your supply chain using natural language, like English (or any language MARCO Track & Trace understands), and instantly, it's built and adjusted right before your eyes.

“We’ve transformed supply chain structuring by integrating an AI copilot directly into MARCO Track & Trace,” said Juan Miguel Perez, CEO and Co-founder of Finboot. “This allows users to build complex supply chain configurations with just a prompt—what once took days can now take minutes.”

This builds on MARCO’s Track and Trace no-code tenet: until now, configuring a supply chain required selecting modules and filling forms manually—taking anywhere from 30 minutes to 5 hours, depending on complexity. With the AI Copilot, the system creates a configuration draft instantly, summarizes it for the user, and asks for confirmation before executing.

Looking Ahead

This is just the beginning. Digital traceability is essential to building transparent, compliant, and sustainable supply chains, and we remain committed to evolving our platform to meet the growing needs of our customers. Finboot is continuously working to make MARCO Track & Trace smarter, faster, and more intuitive, enabling our customers to move from data to action with greater speed and confidence and establishing MARCO as the best-in-class platform and MARCO Track & Trace as the gold standard amongst supply chain traceability software.
