EUDR forces chemical companies to prove palm oil is deforestation-free, but poor supplier data, siloed systems, and limited visibility put compliance and reputation at risk. Without automation and integration, generating Due Diligence Statements becomes a manual, error-prone process; slowing operations and increasing exposure to regulatory penalties.

Evonik set out to streamline EUDR compliance by adopting a digital traceability system with end-to-end visibility across its palm oil supply chain. It needed a solution to automate DDS collection from suppliers, verify geolocation-based deforestation risk, integrate with internal systems, trace production processes, and submit its own DDS.
